Tip: domain names should always have relevant keywords in them. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices suggest putting your most important keywords in the domain name.

Let’s say you need a domain name with certain keywords in it. The SEO question is, “Which is better – registering previously used domain names – or starting with fresh, new ones?”

SEO research has shown that previously used domain names usually still have value with the search engines.

But – beware – sometimes a domain name was part of a bad neighborhood or was used for sending spam. In that case, stay away!

But first, did you know there are previously used domain names available for just the cost of the domain registration fee?

Believe it or not, sometimes the previous owner does not pay the renewal fee, or has lost interest in the domain. Then the domain expires.

It’s almost like cheating and getting getting your own ATM machine, because targeted traffic is almost as good as money in the bank.
You can easily value a domain by comparing the traffic to what it would cost you to BUY the traffic using Adwords or another Pay-Per-Click advertising source.
